A: Judkins R in TRI
B: But Judkins R easily looses its engagement
C: Stable engagement of Ikari R
Engagement of Ikari R, Simple clockwise rotation.
Ikari R 1.5 is a long-tip catheter. The length is similar to Amplatz L 1.0.
Ikari R 1.0 has a shorter distal tip but longer than Judkins R.
Ikari R 1.0 is recommended for the beginner of TRI because of easy engagement and good backup force. It is a well-balanced catheter. However, the backup force was weaker than Ikari R 1.5 or Amplatz L 1.0. For complex lesions, Ikari R 1.0 is not suggested.
